Supermoon Disaster 19 March 2011 ~ An Astrological Analysis
In astrology, a supermoon is a full or new moon that coincides with its closest position by the Moon to the Earth. The Moon's distance varies each month between approximately 354,000 km (220,000 miles) and 410,000 km (254,000 miles). In short, Earth, Moon and Sun are all in a line, with Moon in its nearest approach to Earth. The combined effect of the Sun and Moon on Earth's oceans, the tide, is greatest when the Moon is new or full. Full Moons during lunar perigees (such as in the case of supermoons) exert an even stronger tidal force, resulting in more extreme high and low tides.
On 19th March 2011 the moon will make its closest approach to Earth in almost 20 years. It will be will be only 221,556 miles away from earth. The Moon will be a few percent bigger and brighter in the sky, but our eye won’t really be able to feel the difference, so altogether this “Supermoon” will look exactly the same as it always does when it’s full. US astrologer Richard Nolle nameed this phenomena as “moonageddon,” coinciding with enormous storms, earthquakes and floods.
There were Supermoons in 1955, 1974, 1992 and 2005 and these years had their share of extreme weather conditions and other natural events, too. British freelance weatherman John Kettley was quoted as saying “A moon can’t cause a geological event like an earthquake, but it will cause a difference to the tide. If that combines with certain weather conditions, then that could cause a few problems for coastal areas.”

If we check astrologically, on 19th march 2011 Moon will be in Leo opposite mars with neptune. Sun will be in Pisces (watery sign, ocean) with Jupiter and Uranus (sudden surprises, upheaval) and Mercury opposite retrograde Saturn in Virgo (an earthy sign, quakes). Saturn in Virgo square by Pluto in Sagittarius with Rahu and opposite Sun with Uranus in Pisces indicating Moon again can have tidal affect on the tectonic plates resulting another earthquake or sunami in the next 29 days.
