Diabetes is indigestion of Carbohydrates. It is a metabolic disease which is caused by the insufficient production of insulin by the pancreas. Insulin is a hormone that is produced by specialized cells (beta cells) of the pancreas. Generally diabetes worsens and leads ultimately to the damage of the kidneys. 

There are three major types of diabetes:

• Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus or Juvenile onset diabetes or Diabetes - Type 1

• Non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus or Adult onset diabetes or Diabetes - Type 2

• Gestational diabetes

5th house signifies stomach, pancreas, spleen and liver. 6th house signifies indigestion, liver diseases. Natural zodiac of 5^th house is Leo its lord is Sun and significator of 5th house is Jupiter. Jupiter rules liver and pancreas. It regulates sugars. Jupiter if badly placed in horoscope can restrict the native to sugar. Thus Jupiter indirectly indicates diabetes. A weak Jupiter in 6th, 8th or 12th indicates diabetes. So, there is strong reason to blame Jupiter for this disorder.
